Also, the sayings because I started going but people mumble when they say something and I’m so confused. How can I learn what to say like everyone else?
So the Preface is after Offerings, before Communion😊
Sacrament of Reconciliation, Confession, is it only during Sunday Mass or every Mass?🤗
I love the Catholic liturgy. It is so rich!
Father, curious Protestant here…why does the mass “re-crucify” Christ every time they meet? I understand that in the OT, they would have to have regular sacrifices. But, Christ came so we wouldn’t have to perform sacrifices. Christ took care of that on the cross. Thank you for your video. It was really helpful as I am planning on attending mass with a friend.
I’m ethiopian orthodox but I want to attend a catholic mass at least once
I am 73 raised Lutheran. But always had questions parts of the religion. As a young teen I went to a lot of Mass with close friends. From age 12 till 18. I went to more Mass then any other religion. Now I'm married to a Catholic. I told the Priest " I will go to Mass with my husband BUT I WON'T BECOME CATHOLIC!!" LOL After going with my husband every Sunday for about three months and praying for God's guidance. I woke up one morning told my husband "I want to join the Catholic Faith. "
That was really helpful.
Why is this so mundane?
I was baptized into the Catholic Church at a 3 or 4, I can't remember. But after that I never attended Mass. Now, at 21, I just attended my first Mass and just joined my Parish. My family have been catholics for generations. Looking forward to my journey into the faith
At 70, and a 40 year Protestant, I have felt God leading me to look into Catholicism. Believe me, no one is more surprised than I am!!! 😂 Thank you for this!! The Priest of the local church that I've been meeting with has been helpful in many ways, but the Mass is so different than your basic non -denominational church and his answer to my questions and confusion was just attend mass and things will become clear. I was getting really frustrated!! I felt like someone thrown into the water and told, You'll figure out how to swim!
But God is faithful and He brings me what I need. Thank you!!
❤✝️❤️
Thank you Father 🙏
This was incredibly helpful, Father! Thanks so much and God bless you!
Thank you 🙏🏽
Father you produced this video approximately 2020 however I hope and pray this video is timeless. I am rededicating my life to Lord and my Catholic faith. Your video has taught and enlightened me on how and why we say do things at Mass , bringing closer to Jesus and Almighty God. Thank you.
Ritual. Jeaus did t do that. Catholicism is a cult 😮
It is a wonderful Book of the Gospels carried in procession at 11:44 of the video. But the Roman Missal is also on the altar, and should not be. The Roman Missal’s Order of Mass has in n. 21: “When all this has been done, the Offertory Chant begins. Meanwhile, the ministers place the corporal, the purificatory, the chalice, the pall, and the Missal on the altar.” The General Instruction of the Roman Missal has: “306. For only what is required for the celebration of the Mass may be placed on the altar table: namely, from the beginning of the celebration until the proclamation of the Gospel, the Book of the Gospels;”. The Gospel procession would be even better with the altar server included in it with a candle. The Roman Missal should not have been on the altar at the start of Mass. It is unclear why it is there, since the Priest correctly does the Introductory Rites from the chair, not the altar, from what we can see. (GIRM 50).
Thank you. Fully understanding each part of the mass allows full participation in reverence and awe.
thankyou got it's my first time in years❤
Very well done. I'm an old man now. Born and raised Catholic. I went to Catholic schools thru high school. Much of this used to be taught in school. I was an old school altar boy and knew (and loved) the Latin Mass. Joined the service. Went to Vietnam. Lost my innocence and my faith. When I came home. I tried coming back to church. But Vatcan II had changed everything.
I've drifted in and out several times.
I was in Florida a couple of years and attended mass somewhat regularly. I had to maneuver my way around so that I could receive communion from the priest. I was one of a very few who received the Eucharist on the tongue.
I miss the Eucharist.
Helpful!! Thank you!!
Thank you !!!!!
There is NO Mass today.
Thankyou 🙏
Thank ypu for creating this video. Its such a beautiful reminder of whats happening during the Mass. God bless you.
Extremely helpful, thank you.
thank you
Aged 48 I have spent time doing my lessons and attending mass weekly. I was confirmed during the Easter Vigil as a candidate. Even had my feet washed on Maundy Thursday. I have to say that it has been the most touching and humbling experience. I always knew I was catholic deep down. Thank you to my mother church and my catholic family. 🙏
Thanks for walking us through it: I was interested in how catholics do mass. It's very similar to services in my denomination: anglicanism. Apart from in my specific church the congregation do less of the gestures like after the readings.
Thank you for uploading this. I learned a lot from your video.
I only went to a catholic mass once, but I was always curious how this whole thing works. I really liked your emphatic explanations for each action, made it easy to pay attention and learn! 🙂
So weird that I randomly searched for Catholic service and this came up. Near the end it was explained who added the Prayer to St. Michael and just yesterday the next pope to use the same name was elected!
I went to mass for the first time, my wife came with me for support but we both felt quite lost during the service. There was a rhythm and routine I couldn't understand but this video has been helpful. There were quite a few parts where the congregation would speak or sing without something to read from. How do i learn these songs/words so i can join in?
Where is this taught/commanded in the Bible?
When I go to church I think when we sing will be doing that in heaven when we go to church there too. I’m not really sure what we’ll do in heaven or if we have autonomy there but it beats burning in hell
My wife and I and my youngest son are converting from Protestant to Catholic and I’m 2 Masses in and find Mass so drastically different from Protestant church service but I like it because it seems so much more Holy and Graceful. I know that we must attend classes but the sign up won’t even be till July. Right now I feel like an outsider and don’t belong but I know I need Jesus in my life and want him to be a closer and more important part of my life. I feel drawn to the catholic church in my heart. I’m not young at 53 and I have no money so I’m not going to be able to contribute much to the church financially, actually little to nothing at all as I can’t even afford food. I was told there are fees to take the catechism classes and my heart sank because I am so poor, I felt like crying but was told I would receive help none the less. Thank you for this video and pray for me and my family as we transition. God bless you..
Tridentine mass says hello!
Thank you
Can I follow with my Bible
9:20 who is that guy? Bob the layman? Why is he reading scripture? Should it be the priest? I don’t want to go to a parish with laymen reading scripture. Does every parish have that now?
Multiple times are given on the schedule of services. Which one is best for first time visit? How long is one service? Thank you for this helpful video!
Thanks you Father.
I only wonder why liberals in the Church disregarded Pope Pius X and allowed a monsignor at the time to adopt the Lutheran Mass over the TLM.
Don’t worry people you can have your Mass, Personally I’m a 74 yr old Catholic that won’t be joining in. I practice my faith in Latin as Catholics do for 2000 years. I’m assuming Jesus loves us all.
Pax vobis.
Made a beginning … Softly spoken … Step by step .🍁🔥🍁
Ty!🙏😇🙏
9:19 isn't pre-eucharist fasting includes refuse drinking water? I'm easter orthodox, I've heard that catholic eucharist fast is smaller, but didn't knew that it doesn't include water
As a Protestant I really appreciate this walk through. This was exactly what I was looking for. Thank you
Thank you for this
God bless you and keep you safe always.
I just joined Catholic this week. I feel confused and lost during mass particularly the prayers recites during mass as well as the signs. This video has indeed helped me beyond my expectations. Thank you father 😊 Greetings from Nigeria!
