I was born into a catholic .at point in time l left and went to a pentecostal church .after 20 years return Bach home and l feel at home and more happier ❤
I grew up in the Church of Christ and am a devout Protestant. I am going to my second Mass, my first one was for a friend of mine, he invited me to his Confirmation. And I went but was very confused. Nearly 10 years later I’m going again. But in the last couple of years, I have gained a lot of respect for Catholics and the Catholic Church. I have began to recognize that while we have some differences in traditions of the church, we believe the same thing. We are believers of Jesus Christ, and that he died for our sins, and rose to Heaven, He is the Savior that conquered Death and is the redeemer of mankind. And I have recognized that understanding the different belief systems is very influential in ministry to the lost, so many people carry church hurt especially, but it’s only through the Grace of God that there can be Peace. I was always taught that you turn to the cross and bow and make the sing of the cross during the procession. The cross signifies Jesus entering the church. Why would we not turn to him and greet him accordingly..? We also bow as the holy book and the priest walk by then turn to the front as they go up to the alter.
Why celebrate a last supper why not celebrate Jesus resurrected he said it is finished! Also do this in remembrance of me to remember is just that bring back a piece of information into your mind. Yes he said this is my body and blood do this in remembrance of me. He did not establish what that would look like afterwards so to reflect on his body and blood sacrifice is also in my opinion acceptable

I'm so thankful for this video. It appeared in my feed just 2 hours before attending mass for the first time. I am a pentecostal protestant but feel the call to attend Catholic mass. Im 20 years old and was raised with no learning of religion except school. I did go to a primary school where we had the lords prayer and readings each day but that was it. Im not baptised, no one is in my family, but ive been going to the catholic church since August and i know the prayers for mass, the responses and songs, and i have really enjoyed my time there. I pray there and at home, and i own and read the catholic bible too. I know the 10 commandments and more than a beginner. I dont take communion because i am not baptised but i do want to be. Does anyone know how long the RCIA will take for someone like me who has gone to church since august and i know a good amount of catholic faith? Ive not missed a mass and i look forward every week 🙂 I have notes written on catholic faith and the teachings, i also have a 24 week online lessons about what you need to know. I know there is a lot i am to learn and the journey is different for everyone but would my church experience help me?
I am baptised as a baby, I have recently been called back home by God, I am attending lessons every Wednesday, Benediction every Thursday and mass every Sunday. I recently starting attending a Catholic Church. I was raised in a Baptist church. I love the sacraments of the Catholic Church and am interested in the process of confirmation, as I only know people who went through this as children. I have been a devout Roman Catholic since 1961, but I renounced my Roman Catholic faith in 2022. I read a book entitled "Altar of Secrets: Sex, Politics, and Money in the Philippine Catholic Church" by Aries C. Rufo that impacted me deeply. I am now a happy "born from above" Christian. Furthermore, the Roman Catholic church grossly, falsely, and deceitfully misinterpreted John 6:53. Let me qualify my word "deceitfully" it means total dependency on Roman Catholic priests who claimed that they are "alter Christus" or other Christ and that they alone possessed the "alleged power" to miraculously and substantially transformed ordinary bread into the actual body, blood, soul and divinity of Christ necessary for human salvation. Not even the holy angels can perform this self-claimed supernatural feat of theirs. It is these false ideas of transubstantiation of the eucharist (the summit of Roman Catholic sacramental life) and the supremacy of their priests over the Bible that Roman Catholic faithful are enslaved or imprisoned to the whims and caprices of unholy Roman Catholic priests that further perpetuated the latter pursuit of earthly powers for selfish ends. Most of the biblical citations of their catechism are grossly misinterpreted for their own interest. The biblical Jews gave humanity the Bible not the Roman Catholic Church who acted as copycat. On the contrary, I firmly believed that the Lord's Supper is a memorial service (Luke 22:19-20; 1 Corinthians 11:24 ) in remembrance of Jesus' passion and death on the cross Period

Fr. Bailey, just a note … reception of our Lord in the hand creates the very real danger of minuscule fragments dropping to the floor. Reception on the tongue avoids this scenario and He enters into the very physical door of the temple of our body. The altar boy with his paten under our chin to catch the Lord is a clear message for those who really want to love Him. Thank you for the video and your add-ins; especially the references to early church documents of the Saints and the Didache. Both my wife and I really liked the way you presented the material.
Any claim to a "MASS" after the Vatican II debacle is purely conjecture.
If protestants like this so called "Mass" it is because 6 Protestant clergy helped formulate it. Truth…look it up.
I'm an atheist who does not believe any of this, but it is very interesting and informative to listen to this step-by-step guide to the catholic mass, thank you. I especially enjoyed your comments on transubstantiation. It is amazing that some say they genuinely believe in transubstantiation even in 2025, but that is their prerogative and just creates diversity of opinion.

I go to 4 different catholic churches. They all have there own version of mass. Only one comes close to the mass I remember as a young person. They have changed words in the mass as far as I can tell for the sake of change. In my opinion mass should be the same in every Catholic church.

As I received my holy communion in 1962, just at the end of the Latin mass, It was only the priest who could touch the host because we were not worthy, Now, it saddens me that the gracefulness of the Latin mass is now disrespected. It was the main reason I left the church, because it lost its mystery.

I don’t like that in my parish we no longer shake hands when offering a sign of peace and we no longer hold hands when praying Our Father. It feels cold and not like it used to be.

My seventeen year old daughter surprised us by wanting to convert to Catholicism from Mormonism. I feel like she's old enough to make that choice and fully support her. We've attended Mass together as a family nine Sundays in a row, and all four of my children have really loved the service. It's been absolutely beautiful, but this explanation helps so much.
