I keep seeing ball pytons for adoption, so now I'm constantly watching all your ball pyton content to see if I can handle them. I have kids, so I want them to know snakes aren't scary (their grandparents keep saying snakes are scary).
Is that it? Yeah i thought it was going to be a guide on how to care for a ball python? You know like From birth handling etc progression on how to care for a ball python. But thanks for the video anyway i think i learned a couple things.
Thank you so much 😊
Do you breed and sell snakes? I'm looking for a hatchling blue-eyed leucistic male
I WOULD stay in the apartment all day. If I had one.
Point taken about the enclosure size, however.
I feel like I'm being stupid rn but I have a red heat lamp bulb in my enclosure with a uvb for day time. I've always turned the UVB off at night but left the red bulb on, am I supposed to be turning the heat bulb off aswell????
Spot on👍
My cousin gifted me his lemon blast baby girl 😭 she’s anywhere from 3-7 months old trying to do my research on her!
How often do you completely change the substrate and clean the enclosure?
Anthropomorphizing
11:15 is so me 😅 thank you for the reminder!! I’m getting my first snake soon, and I’ve been overthinking everything!! Im trying to create the best environment for my new bud, and and give it the best life I can offer and sometimes I forget it’s supposed to be fun! Thank you for the reminder. ☺️
My BP is going on 4 years old (I got him as a baby couple months old) and has not gone off feed yet
I want to get a ball python for my first exotic pet but , does the ball python really need a heater? If im having one im planning to put it in a big plastic container
Channel like these ruins the reptile community by creating an exaggeration expectations.
Thanks. Ive wanted a bp for years and years. Im going to make sure he/she will have everything needed. Thx for tips
I couldn’t agree more with this. Please make sure you guys buy the right size for the appropriate animal. I am again bins but I know people still use old outdated information and set ups …. And that includes heat mats those are outdated and bring no benefit. Overhead heating and UVB lighting is a must. Please make sure to keep up with reptile keepers, who actually care about the Animals/Reptiles they have … and provide nothing but the best close to the best they can
Any radiant heat panels to look at? Which do you prefer to use?
I am not an experienced snake owner. I have a ball python that right now is 750 grams. She is in a 50 gallon tank. I feel like she is starting to outgrow it already and we are talking about giving her a bigger environment.
Are the plants fake plants ?
How do you take them out of the enclosure without get them bit?
Never owned a snake trying to figure which one is best
Hiii, I have a hard time putting two and two together and I was wondering, if you could show us a video where you show us how to set up the equipment you suggested in the description down below. I understand the basics but I was a lil skeptical if the smart humidifier goes inside the cage, or where to put the thermostat and the thermometer device. It would reallly help me out.
What about 48x24x12?
I don’t know anything about snakes, that’s why I’m here. But I do about fish and lots of other animals, and I always feel like as a general rule, for whatever animal it is, it’s better to err on the side of giving an animal more space than you think they’ll need than less.
Could you put a baby in a large enclosure? I’d rather buy 1 nice large enclosure then a smaller one and have to upgrade later
Is a 36 long 24 tall 18 side, good for a ball python?
How'd you know I live in an apartment
I live in a tropical climate country, so is it ok if i dont use a heat mat or a heat lamp?
I’ve been lucky for most part, except this year I was moving a ball python from quarantine and put him (proven breeder) in a bigger enclosure and he stopped eating for 2 months and I put him back in a smaller enclosure and he’s been back eating with no problems for 2 months now
Hey Adam. So quick question for you. I have my enclosure set up where its about 75 on the cool end and 85 on the hot side…. The surface temp of the hot side hide or basking spot which is directly under the DHP is like 90-93…. Substrate is reading in the low to mid 80s on the hot side. Humidity is around 60-75%. Does all this sound okay? There's so much information out there that says differently from each page to page, and then there's reddit.. I just wanna make sure I have my little girl set up okay. I use a deep heat projector for heat and LED for lighting.
Think i got super lucky.
I recently got a bp with everything included (substrate, food, freezer for food, cage) for 200$. The enclosure alone, one from boamaster, is worth more.
Been working on the husbandry. Think i have the heat figured out, just need to get humidity. And maybe some more 'clutter'.
I have been wanting a snake for a while now but i have a fear of failing as a pet owner so ive been living vicariously through snake discovery 😂😂😅 but i really want to get one
Im planning on a 40 to 70 gallon tank. I appreciate that they need some wiggle room but i dont have the space or the money for a tank that big. Ill just have to try and make up for the lack of size in other ways as much as possible.
I heard blueberry scarabs are cute live a long time fun to watch and eat snake poo…Has anyone kept these together? I know about springtales, but I also want to add a jumping spider or two…and ofc scarabs. Cool critters. I havent even asked google or reddit yet…there will ofc be conflicting info. So asking everywhere for redundancy.
Your videos are some of the most enjoyable by far.
What morph Ball pyton is the brown yello one in your video.
Love that one.
For my ball python, in a 4x2x2 PVC enclosure. Do you do the radiant pad AND the halogen bulb? If you do, are they on the same side of the enclosure?
Or would just the pad work?
I get the snakes need a big setup but honestly in the wild they stay underground or in termite mounds most of the day. They ho out in the mornings and evenings for like 2 hours looking for a meal. The ball pythons in captivity don't have to worry about going out looking for a meal. If you honestly get your snake out alot then it's getting the exercise it needs. Just think most breeders keep them in racks that are way smaller then a 40 gall breeder and they still thrive. IMO 40 gall is bare minimum for them. They should be perfectly fine.
I’ve been doing some research on the red heat lights at night time and some people say they need it and others say it’s not good for them. I’m buying a ball python off of somome and they said they use the red heatlight on one side of the tank at night. So I’m just wondering if I should keep doing what they were doing or not. I want to make sure I’m doing this right
My adult ball recently graduated from sub-adult, which means I lugged a 120gal aquarium into my apartment! And got a baby ball to fill his old 55gal 🙂
Is a 46x18x18 inch enclosure good enough?
Omg Adam…We're getting ready….Q is studying 😊
Helps a lot legend
really wanted to get a ball
python but i can’t get 4x4x2 enclosure
Why is that M word even a word … 🤮 I love my baby but we gonna use hydrated, well watered, droplet heavy. Just not M.
First off, love the videos man, very informative and I love your energy. That being said you loooveee bringing up how Shaq is a giant😂😂 in your most recent snake video(Burmese Pythons) you make the same comment. Love it😂
Great video!!! 14 years I have my ball python and I still watch videos from everyone! Love this video dude
I have no idea how I would fit a 120 gallon tank in my room or any room in my house
❤❤❤❤
How old is pikachu
I'm here for the care guide, but it's exactly while doing what research of what kind of snake I should get led me to a ball python. I want a movie snake. One thing missed are morphs with defects, learning about wobble made me avoid spiders.
😂 I definitely do stay in my apartment all day, but I’ll give my girl the space she needs to do as she pleases in a 4x2x2 lol
