Oxytocin is made in the hypothalamus, then stored in and released by the posterior pituitary.
Calcitonin is released by the thyroid gland, not the parathyroid glands.

  14. It is important to notice that Posterior Pituitary gland does not produce Oxytocin. This gland does not produce any hormone but it stores and releases hormones from Hypothalamus.
