  1. For step one you really don't need to roll, you can run to his right since his swing goes from low to high from the right so the low beginning comes across to the top right, it does follow but your by his right side and just keep running around to his left or even walking he can't hit you. Also for rolling it doesn't really matter where you role, the timing matters the most because you gain invincibility for a split second (about a full second) it's more easier to see when fighting minor erdtree bosses when they do the long reach attack or the stomp when your close, you can roll into the attack if you're in that invincibility window and it won't do anything

  2. I beat this guy first try with the starter swords for the warrior class. Those swords are seriously overpowered

  3. Why am I finding this page so damn late bro, lucky for you I didn't make it to godric yet, I only beat Madrik, and went exploring and Rune farming all over the damn map but now you make me feel confident to come back to the main storyline

  4. This probably doesn’t need to be said but for the 2nd AOE attack if you watch his arms holding the axe they tense up before he does the attack, and in phase two he does it 3 times I think so be ready

  5. I beat him at level 20
I got my rotten stray to level 8 and let him take care of it

  6. This guy tires people out, even me, he will test your patience, but it took me first try and then fought his clone in the Atlus Evergaol and did that first try again. I humiliated this guy so badly, I almost feel bad. After the Margit fight, I felt so powerful.

  7. I just let my spirit summons and that npc summon to tank while I spammed spells n dodged lol.

  8. I’ve killed over 60 bosses and I’m still haven killed godrick… I’ve made to the god dungeon and the emeries use dark magic and i Ranway scared

  9. I found its extremely easy to learn his slam move, where he hits the ground, and just roll through it. Puts you close to him and its easy to get in 3 hits after he's done

  10. The easiest think I have learned when it comes to dodging is to look at the arm and not the weapon, so about when the arm is almost pointing at you use dodge. But this works with most if not all enemies. Just follow the arm and you can usually dodge most stuff that way

  11. Stop watching these and get gud bitches 😂😂😂😂

Jk-This is my first souls game heavily played

  12. A small tip:if a boss does a swing from left to right dodge into his attack in that case you wont get caught at the end of his attack

  13. What do you do when he pulls out that bullshit no windup wind attack any time you get close to him

  14. When Godrick gets to half health he will begin cutting off his own arm. This gives you a good few seconds to agro him before the cutscene. After the cutscene he will always breathe fire with the dragon arm, run to his left and retaliate. Good Luck.

  15. Warrior lady, my jelly, and myself got this guy on our third try. Margit on the other hand…. I don't want to talk about it

  16. I managed to beat Godrick first try. The summons might have helped, but it still stands.

  17. Me, an idiot who has never played another soulsborne game getting my ass kicked by Margit because i want to fight the "beginner" cough boss: cool… where is that?

  18. I just kept using the banished knight to get there attention and attack which was getting way to easy so I stopped

  19. One thing I hate about any of these games is the wind up attacks bosses have. They would lose all the force from that attack just leaving it in the air. So why do they do more damage then an actual follow through attack? Bad design honestly makes the fights not fun due to hyper armor the bosses get.

  20. Honestly, the best time I found to hit him was after his jump attack where he jumps up in the air and lands. That's when I got most of my hits in and also focused on dodging and when I could I would get behind him while he was attacking and got some free hits in

  21. Or just send the scarab dog after him then let it poison him and run if u want the dog go to the ruins next to first step on the right and open the dungeon chest then run out of the crystal cave and just look a video up on how to get it lol

  22. Am I crazy or is every boss in Elden Ring like just a difficult as some of the hardest bosses in DS3

  23. For any new players, don’t panic dodge and try to hit the boss randomly, you need to stay calm and only get hits when it’s perfectly safe

Edit: also try and do a few attempts that are solely based on learning his attacks

  24. Am I the only one who found him to be one of the easer bosses? I had quite a harder time with Ancestral Spirit, even though it was still pretty easy.
