Itβs worth mentioning that not all banners that generate with structures can be modified. The Pillager banner that is dropped by Pillager captains and generate in Pillager Outposts are classified in game as the Ominous Banner and canβt be modified.
Iβm not sure if the ones that generate in End Cities and villages are the same way, though I imagine the End City ones are since they have patterns as opposed to the village ones since those are typically solid colors.
