Ive got a pet spider xd. I didnt find some way to tame it, just spawned it by blocking out light sources. Gotta love how it always tries to bite me when i walk close

Some day we'll get a chair update with the ability to pick up a cat sit in a chairs and pet the cat. Then being a minecraft supervillian or cat lady will finally become a possibility.
Actually for the cat instead of chasing them once you get a little close the first time you stay there and they will run away but then they will come back until they feel that you are safe or however their program feels

What about horses, donkeys, and mules. They have different health, speed, and jump stats that are randomly generated from spawning, and a baby one will take those states and sort of combine them from the two parents. Donkeys and Mules can also carry chests

For the rabbits, you can also make them follow/breed them with dandelions.
One thing, even when cats were first added to minecraft. They are sensitive to fast player movements including head movement that's why early in this video, the cat ran away when he snapped his vision to it. Instead of still approaching.

An important thing to note about foxes: if tamed, they will defend you when you’re attacked. Unlike dogs, they are VERY persistent. Personally, I have tamed foxes on leads around my house, and whenever someone or something hits me then they’ll attack. I’ve taken out players in full diamond before because I had so many.

Parrots will also bring your cats to you by hauling them by their collars. This can be fatal to the cat if you are engaging in underwater archaeology. I found this out accidentally. R.I.P. Lady Circe. Also, breeding cats with dyed collars will sometimes result in kittens inheriting a parent's collar color.

As an ocelot lover, tamer and breeder, I want to clear up a few things. Breeding ocelots does nothing but create another wild ocelot. You can tame them and get them to behave similar to foxes, in the sense that they trust you and won't run around crazy anymore. You need to crouch with raw fish and let them come to you. That is very important. You can't chase them around like cats to tame them, they MUST be the ones that come to you for taming. You'll know when it is tame when it won't run around scared anymore and just walks around calmly instead. Tying them up to tame them is rather ineffective. You can put a wild ocelot on a lead and lead it into an enclosed space, so you can crouch and let it come to you a bit easier. Please note they do need space and it can't be too cramped. They need space so that they can get a certain distance away from you and the AI can sort of reset to pursue the fish and they aren't in constant flee mode because they were too close to you.
Any new ocelots you breed will also need to be tamed.
Ocelot spawns behave similar to hostile mobs. They will despawn if you get a certain distance away from them. A tamed ocelot will not despawn. However, I don't know about bred ocelots that haven't been tamed yet. Don't know if they have different data that prevents them from despawning.
I love ocelots a lot. I like having pets that walk around calmly in my house without teleporting to me if I get too far away. Makes my base feel alive and like a home.
You forgot one very important detail about foxes. If you are planning to chill in your world keep in mind that when the night falls, the foxes scream, yes, they do SCREAM. I learned that the hard way and nearly had a heart attack. 😂

I knew about the mimicry but it just made the scariest noise like-
It wasn't like any in-game mob I know of. It was a cross between the wind, breathing, and some kind of cave sound. I am no where near A cave or any other mobs.

every time i see minecrafy parrots, i remember the first time i ever saw one.
I was traveling in the jungle. my only food was a stack of cookies that i had traded for prior to the adventure, since I only had a few pieces of bread left. when i found a parrot, i fed it all the seeds i had, but it didn't tame. i tried, just for fun, to see if it would eat a cookie.
it did!
then it died before my eyes.
i had no idea about the mechanic that cookies would instantly kill a parrot. it's probably one of the least lucky situations I've ever been in, irl or in a game. seriously, what are the chances that i try to feed a silly mob a random piece of food which JUST SO HAPPENS to insta-kill them???
Calico cats can only be female, I’m serious. Males can’t be Calico in color, only females. It’s something in their genes look it up
