Foxes also attack hostile mobs when you get hit depending on their tame/trust stage (generation). I can't remember which one, but I think it's generation 4, breeding a tame fox with another increases their tame/trust level with the player.

I actually tamed a frog, just simply take a leash, it's easier in creative mode because you need to get a small slime monster mob, not the slime balls, but the actual mob, they'll take their tongues and eat the slimes and… Oh I forgot the next part lol I'm sorry I'll be back to update this message 😂😅

I think you skipped a feature of the fox. I don’t know about Java, but on Bedrock I believe foxes will fight for you if you are attacked if they trust enough. I remember back when they first introduced foxes, I breed a whole Island of them. One day a drowned popped up and hit me, and then next thing I know is every fox on that island rushed to my defense.
Crazy stuff about foxes, apparently if you breed two foxes together they'll make a baby and the baby will have no problems with you at all unless it is not separated from its parents (KIDNAPPING BABIES LET'S GOOOOO) and once it stops following the two foxes, you successfully have a pet fox, they won't sit under your control and idk if they'll follow you or not, my guess is that they don't but when the owner is harmed the fox will attempt to bite the attacker. I have about 50-70 wolves just sitting in my house. Carry 3-5 with me anywhere I go and breed them while we’re out and end up coming back with twice as much.

Rabbits can also eat dandelions. And you can also make the tiny slimes follow you around as they can't do any damage.

I did not know parrots danced 😂 I tamed a whole bunch just to watch them dance and it was the best thing to watch
for the cats, if you have a village and tame all the cats they will spawn back as different breeds. I’ve tried it in bedrock so I guess it’s an infinite cat generator.

I've found the easiest way to tame a cat is to sit still looking down enough so i dont have to move when i hit "tame"
