I'm not gonna have a Tierlist in this comment just gonna point out all the roles:
OG roles
The official release of among us is June 18 2018
Crewmate,do tasks and vote the impostor-related roles out but sometimes they might vote out a crewmate-related role thinking he/she was the impostor and they can also, report bodies,can call a meeting, and can fix a sabotage.
Impostor, kills other Crewmate-related roles, can sabotage, can use vents, pretend to do tasks and can also report and call a meeting.
Ghost, it's either a dead or voted out Crewmate-related role or Impostor-related role, the crewmate ghost can help to Crewmate do task but can't fix a sabotage or report and call meetings, The impostor one however can only sabotage, but there are two things in common with this ghost roles is they both have the haunting ability which let's you choose a player and automatically go to them and will auto-follow the selected player, the other common thing is they can text but Crewmate can't see their chats only fellow ghosts can see it.
2021 new roles update
Alongside with the cosmicube update there's the new roles added in October 27 2021.
Scientist, have the same functions as a Crewmate but can use vitals to check whether the player is alive, dead, or just logged off, but the vitals need to be recharged everytime, it's full battery is 5%
and the only way to recharge it is to do task, to not waste battery is to not use it.
Shapeshifter, have the same function as an impostor but can Shapeshifter into anyone on the game,you can either unshift or wait until the timer for the shapeshift is out.
Engineer, same function as a Crewmate, but can use vents but after using a vent there's a 40 (I forgot the timer) minute cool down and when using the vent there is also a timer cuz obviously not to stay in the vent for too long.
Guardian Angel, a either selected role by the game or killed Crewmate-related role,
this role can only be accessed by dying as a crewmate-related role or got it as a selected role when the game starts.
2022 Hide and Seek roles
Hide and seek mode is a mode released in December 9 2022, this was inspired by the made-up gamemode, hide and seek as for fun, this was unofficial at the time,
impostors can't be voted out and no sabotages.
One note: H̵̰̊̍̆̎I̵̛̯̿̏̂̈́D̶̲̺͎͖̠͔̑̂͆̍Ȅ̸̢̳̘͉̹̖͊̅͐̾̕͠ͅ
Seeker, an imposter-related role that only be accessed at the hide and seek mode, you have to kill all the Crewmates and when the timer runs out the seeker can get the seek ability that can show where the Crewmates are, also seekers can't vent.
Hider, a regular Crewmate that do task that increase the timer, Crewmate can use vents to hide but they only have five tries.
2023 April fools horse update
The 2023 April fools makes everyone into horses, mostly played in hide in seek.
Horse, the Crewmate-relates roles are replaced with horses.
The Cowboy (Groom or stable boy by google), a impostor-related role which captures or ties the horses instead of killing them.
2024 April Fools long mode
It's a 2024 April fools update which makes every Crewmate into long giraffe like creatures, all of them
Features:
•some players may have small necks or long necks
•shapshifters can shapeshift into the height of their victim
•in hide and seek hiders change their height on how far or near the seeker is.
2024 new roles update
2024 new roles update added three new roles, it was released in (reply in the comments cuz I forgot the release date).
Noisemaker, A Crewmate-related role which when you die you create a signal to your death place.
Tracker, a Crewmate-related role which they track Crewmate and check on the map and see the player they tracked.
Phantom, And impostor-related role in which they can turn invisible, they can either, appear or wait for the timer for invisibility to run out. (can deserve a like this took long)

I personally don’t like guardian as much as you don’t really know who’s imp unless you were killed. Normal ghosts can check it with the haunt button.

Guardian angel: 7/10
Guardian angel is only available for people who die first and they have the ability to protect the remaining crewmates from the imposters
Scientist: 2/10
It’s just like a crewmate playing on Polus
Engineer: 9/10
It’s best used to vent when you’re alone and when someone kills you wanna wait till they vent but it does suffer from sabotage on comms
Noisemaker: 1/10 it’s just an alert to where you died like why use that role it’s so bad
Shapeshifter: 10/10
there is a thing called shift n seek except well more different than hide n seek
Phantom: 8/10
It’s weak to trackers but trackers can’t track people when they go invisible
Tracker: 2000/10
IMO the best role in the game tracker really needs a nerf so bad

Guardian Angel in my opion should be 3 out 10, average guardian angel is late to protect the crewmate 90% of the time, and you can accidentally protect an imposter, the protection thing only lasts so long and the cooldown…Really?
