I believe that there's a whole lot of different parasites. As said previously before, to enforce this theory I can say that the hide n seek impostor is ruthless while the normal one likes seeing crewmates decide and struggle to decide. For example, Viper is a snake, shapeshifter is the most alike to how these parasites change between crewmates. They either go slow or fast.
there was another theory i think it was 2 or 3 years ago, that crewmates are actually pirates of space and impostors are the actual persons that live on the spaceship, because crewmates need to repair the ship to make it work but dont have any control on it while the impostors have full controlon it with reactor, oxygen, light and doors

my theory is yes the parasites live in polus, deep inside the hole…Some were smacked off aggressively into space and they landed on a spaceship called Skeld, they find a victim by getting out of the vents in o2, they get their face and take over their body killing all the crewmates for fun, or revenge. Some parasites must have fallen, landing on mirahq, some landing on the airship and some landing on skeld! Nice theory right?
