Raven is the best counter to freaking Green Lantern, Sinestro, superman, and Deathstroke lol She's really really good! Keeps away the rushers and keeps the zoo need from spamming from a distance.
Yup, she's the answer to any zoning character. She can zone pretty well but she excels at canceling other's zoning game.
Does Empty Void work on Deathstroke's bullets?
Unfortunately no 🙁
He's the first person I tested it on. It only absorbs one projectile and DeathStroke fires several. If you want to counter DeathStroke, then just dash block in until you get close enough to use Soul Crush (it's almost full-screen). Or you can use her Demon Stance and teleport behind him right as he draws his gun and punish him with a full combo 😉

Yeah, I always ask myself, "Who's a good partner for this character?" and Cyborg is the only character in her universe besides DeathStroke, but Cyborg's projectiles were a better example for Raven's Dark Void.
I did not know she ports behind… lol oh dear people are gunna hate me… just learned new things with the two characters I play the most.
I learn new things doing these too, lol. We have all grown 😉
*sighs* Of course not only does DS have two different rapid fire projectiles and a move where you can't dodge in anyway (His jumping sword slash move), Raven can't block that projectile because of it. Honestly, DS could be so OP.
Just teleport behind him. All of his projectiles are unsafe big time. They're like -100+ or something like that. He's not OP, he's just a very solid character.

What does -MB- mean? For example at 3:22 in the annotation it says MB right after qcb+2

It means Meter Burn so you push RT when you are doing the combo

Agreed an advanced guide would be amazing. I think raven is one of if not the most under-rated characters in the game. Great channel by the way, keep up the good work. Your videos make me want to make a good raven video to show people how good she can be!
Just in case you didnt know, if you wait a little bit while in demon stance to start the combo, you'll run out and can meter burn downforward2 and downback2 again. I would like you to point it out in an advanced guide please.

Nearly every character in this game takes from MK9 characters. For instance, Batman has a lot of Scorpion's moves.
I think Raven is supposed to be able to heal herself, is it possible in the game?
As one who mains Raven; what characters would you recommend for Raven players?
I would go with the ones with the same playstlyles, eg. sinestro, green lantern, black Adam etc.
Personally, I would just stay with raven. She is my main and I can't find anyone else I like

You can actually absorb deathstroke's bullets from his pistol shot. But the timing is extremely strict, you have to get a perfect read, and it won't work on reaction due to startup. I tested this yesterday so it's current.
