You should have mentioned his increidbly short range Down+2 lol. I can NEVER hit anyone with it unless I'm in a corner
"doesnt have good combo potential" wat?
I was referring to how he can't combo into his b+3 or f+3 most of the time and that most of his attacks end combos instead of extending them. He can combo from almost anywhere, but what he can do from there is usually limited.
What do you record this on (Xbox/Ps3) and what type of controller do you use..becuase I find these combos impossible to do and I've been trying for and hour
I use Xbox 360 controller. Make sure you turn off the button release. I find that with Black Adam it's best to input the attacks right as the attacks end. Otherwise, the game tends to auto-correct and the wrong attack comes out. Half of the plan is to outsmart the game lol.

It's under controller options. Turn it off and save the presets. It makes a lot of things easier.

You probably just didn't understand what I meant by that. I meant that most of his specials and normals are specifically meant for ending combos and not extending them (only black magic can extend his combos. Others can only start or end them). Also, you cannot use his b+3 in most of his combos (like after his black magic). Furthermore, he can only start combos with specific strings and none of his combos have very many hits. That's what I meant.

Raven doesn't sound like a terrible counter-pick. Flash is good against most characters. The thing with Black Adam is that you should never block low unless you see him going for a Lighting bolt or black magic. Otherwise, half of his strings hit overhead.
I don't know if the damage scaling is just kinda wonky on his super, but I managed to get a 13 hit, 48% combo out of B + 2,3 > 1, 1, 3 > Super. 54% if you hit this with orbs activated.
was his damage scaling reduced by chance?
Why waste time and your whole meter when you can do a combo with just as much damage with less meter?
I can't believe I have to learn black adam JUST because shazam is too damn good in the 220 Star mission…. my last mission to get 3 stars in. I have to survive a super and I can't do that and still survive shazam.
Oh, I'm nowhere near there yet lol. Sounds tough, though.
Its the only mission I found hard though. I did beat it today and got myself dat flash skin. And I watch your videos where you are clearly better at this game than me. So I think the only thing holding you back from finishing those STAR mission is your own perception of them!
lol, I'm just so busy with everything else on my channel. I would love to unlock that skin and show my love for his character, though. Just curious, how many missions are there? Around 250?
There are 240, 260 if you count the Red Son DLC (not required for the skin)

Underdawg, how do you do the air throw combo? It's impossible for me 🙁
Make sure that you push 1 & 3 and not the throw button.
What are you talking about Underdawg? Black Adam has great combo potential AND zoning options.
I always get that response lol. What I meant was how his b+3 doesn't work mid-combo and most of his attacks (normals and specials) are designed for ending combos, but not extending them. He only has about 4 bread and butter combos.

Very nice introduction! Since this is the first fighting game I've ever owned, this will make things a lot easier. I just really wish that you had put the inputs of the combos you dis in the video :/
The combos are in the annotations. Make sure to turn them on because they can be very helpful. If you're viewing from your phone, then you won't be able to see them :/

black adam has so many bounces and off the wall moves i always forget to jump and continue the combos x.x
best? superman or batgirl. worst as in hardest to play/master not noob friendly. either green arrow or someone like ares.

To me the best are Super-man,Green-Lantern,Aqua-man, and if you can manage it, Black Adam.
The worst are Cyborg ( Even though I love him and still play him to this day,Some of his moves are worthless ),Lobo,Joker,and Shazam.
I need to learn a good character in this game. I use the lowest tier way too much, cause I refuse, REFUSE to use top teir like superman in any game.
I would agree with that. I used Black Adam from the first moment I got the game (I really like his b+2, 3, u+1+3 combo), and after sticking with him, I am excited to say that… I still suck. But I'm having fun, so YAY!
lol @ low damage character
I recently played Black Adam and tried these combos, first off, if you're playing Injustice now, the combos deal different damages from then (generally less), for example, the first combo only does 33%, not 41% anymore
Black Adam is a top tier character but how can I do well against Shazam with him. Cuz I got beat by a strong Shazam player. I did well before but against this guy I couldn't ever use wake up. Can you make a video on how to beat Shazam.
looks like they nerfed him? the 41% combo you do at start does 31% for me.
he's very hard to use. But fun. I get my ass kicked half the time and half the other time I manage to win using black adam. He's ultime my god. Its beast but fuck so hard to hit the enemy.
I know this video is super old but could someone explain what the damage scaling is and how it works.
