whats the difference between the private and public guide? if i make a private server with friends that also have it, shouldn't it work fine?
Is there any particular way to add port exceptions to anti virus programs or would you just simply add exceptions for the programs involved? I'm assuming the second option is incorrect, but i wanted to ask just in case

I did the firewall thing and port forwarding I can connect to my server but for some reason my freinds can't please help
So im a little confused; for the server that you connect to as host, you put your internal IP address with the :9736 at the end, but for anyone else connecting, they put your public IP address with :9736 at the end? or does everyone put the internal IP address?
Hello so I did everything you said in the video except no one but me can join the crewlink. Also for some reasons crewlink has a red circle instead of green one like yours. If are able to help in anyway that would great!

In the default daemon configuration on Windows, the docker client must be run elevated to connect. This error may also indicate that the docker daemon is not running.
See 'docker run –help'.
You need to add "docker rm crewlink" after "docker stop crewlink" in the bat file or it will give an error while rerunning it saying that crewlink already exists.
Here is what it should be:
docker run -d -p 9736:9736 –name crewlink ottomated/crewlink-server:latest
pause
docker stop crewlink
docker rm crewlink
ok this issue happened for me and running crewlink
"You are on an unsupported version of Among Us: 2020.12.9
Restart app after you fix this."
so if you used the same command line above, you can run
docker stop crewlink && docker rm crewlink && docker pull ottomated/crewlink-server:latest
which stops and removes again, and also updates it, idk why it does not automatically update, however, this fixes the issue.
Oh and "docker stop" takes 10 seconds, you may use "docker kill" to stop it instantly.

I opened up the crewlink link and I can't see the Docker tab. What is the command to run it?
it won't work i cant get to the installing page for docker
rip. It said it couldn't run without certain stuff. Did some digging and I need something called "Hyper-V." Guess what hyper V needs… Windows Pro. Which is a $100 upgrade for my computer T-T Guess this isn't gonna be a thing for me T-T
I download crewlink and restart pc but then my pc breaks and goes into automatic repair
when I try putting docker ps into cmd i get this error

Idk i keep running into an error that I do not know how to fix. Every time i insert the private crewlink that i received i keep getting this error:
Couldn't fetch the latest game offsets from the server: (the server you receive) (extra stuff here that idk if its safe to say)
Error: connect ETIMEDOUT (the server you receive)
Restart the app after you fix this.
I already fixed the firewall. I put in the new docker run -d -p 9736:9736 –name crewlink ottomated/crewlink-server:latest
Tried every possible server name it could be for me and nothing. Does anyone know how to fix this?
For everyone getting the: "Couldn't fetch latest game offsets from the server:" error. This is because Crewlink itself is not updated to support the latest version of among us. Wait a couple of days until Ottomated updates Crewlink in Github to support the latest among us version and it should be fine.
for people getting the “Hardware assisted virtualization and data execution protection must be enabled in the BIOS” error while installing docker, or something else virtualization related. You should check if your CPU supports virtualization. You can check this in the task manager, go to the performance tab and select the cpu, if it lists virtualization as being on or off your cpu supports it, if not your cpu does not support it.
In the case that your cpu does support virtualization but is set to off you should enable it in your BIOS. It's general location is: bios>advanced tab>cpu configuration. But it can have a different location in the bios based on your motherboard.
If you have windows home it is a but more tricky because virtualization doesn't seem to be supported out of the box like with windows pro. But you can still enable it with a small workaround. Search on google how to do this.

I've set up much stuff, I followed everything that I could, yet whenever I join a lobby on among us, the circle around my avatar on crewlink is RED instead of GREEN when I talk, and my friends cannot hear me, neither can I hear them. Does anybody know what the problem is?
Another problem
When my friend types in my external IP and 9736 it won't let him choose it as a server, the square is red.
Any ideas?
Ive done everything in the video and im still getting the red circle around my name. I've got it running in docker and am trying localhost:9736 and still not getting a green circle. Any advice?
Ok so I did all the steps and I have no errors but when I put in the final code with my IP and port code into crew link it shows as red and says I'm not in a server. What did I do wrong?
